We believe that prayer is a powerful God-given means to accomplish His mission in this world. The power is not in the people praying but rather in the Almighty God to whom we pray.
Each Tuesday night, we gather together for the purpose of lifting thanksgiving and petitions up to our God who never sleeps nor slumbers. We believe that prayer is a critical part of the ministry of Christ Church of All Nations.
“Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:19-20.
Why Pray Together?
In the Bible, personal prayer is to be prioritized (Matthew 6:6). Community prayer was also modeled and prescribed in Acts 1:14 and 2 Tim 2:1-8. There is great encouragement in the gathering of believers, in-dwelt and led by the Holy Spirit.
Prayer is actually a privilege. When we pray we are communing with the God, the originator and sustainer of all life. Further, we are talking to our Father. This relationship was purchased with the highest price, Christ’s blood.
As these other believers pray they speak of what they are learning and how God is leading them to be sympathetic and burdened for others. This is surprisingly impactful and is a useful tool for our edification.
